Haul-out Strap Placement

Post by ElizabethG »

Hi Guys,

In a couple of weeks, I'm having my boat hauled out for bottom paint.

Though the boatyard has hauled my boat out before without any issues, I'd like to be able to provide them reference points where the travel lift straps should be placed.

My boat is a 2004 with a wing keel.

If anyone has fore and aft strap reference points for haul outs, can you share that info with me?

Thanks,

Bill

Hi All,

I found it.

In the Owner's Manual, towards the very end, there are two drawings; one for the Catalina 350 and one for the Catalina 350 MKII.

The lift points are slightly different for each model.

My 2005 hull has a diamond shaped decal labeled LIFT on the hull just below the toe rail fore and aft on both sides of the hull.

Hi Ken,

Thanks for the post and the pic!

I don't think my boat has those diamond decals, but I'll check when I head back to CHS in a couple of weeks.

Maybe those were added by the dealer?
