Hi all. Quick question. Has anyone replaced the hose (2" diam) from the water muffler to the seacock? If so how many feet does it take? I am guessing around 10-12 feet???

thanks

dave

Hi Dave,
I had mine done last year and the service engineer ordered a 3 metre length which worked out fine.

I bought 13' of Shields 250 Series ShieldsFlex II with wire from Go2Marine 2 years ago. Had enough to trim the edges and maybe a few inches extra. This also covered from the motor to the muffler. Make sure you put the big turn in the hose before it exhausts out the hull. I laid it out in the sun for a little while to loosen it up. Wasn't the worse exhaust hose replacement I did; at least you can get to it reasonably well. Steve

I just replaced from muffler to hull and the old hose was 8ft 8" and I replaced it with 9ft.

Yes, I’ve replaced that hose before. It usually takes around 10-12 feet, depending on your boat's setup. To be sure, I'd recommend measuring the old hose or running a tape measure along the path where the new hose will go. A professional plumber can also help on replacing that hose for you.

Remove your existing hose, lay it flat and measure it.
