Sandy did a number on many boats in our area..North East.

The obvious damage is...well obvious, but each time I go back to the boat I see other stuff.
Or I walk away saying "well this happened" but later wonder if "that" happened too?
After returning and looking more closely...yup.

Is there a recommended damage inspection checklist?

I think all of the Catalina 350 owners feel your pain and wish you a speedy recovery.
You might want to start with the commissioning check list. I think you should have or find a copy in the owners manual pages 6,7 and 8.
This will serve to focus your attention to each of the systems including the rig.
Hidden structural damage will be harder to find. Look for fit and alignment of internal structures bulkheads and surfaces.
Lots of time and attention to detail will serve you well.
