Securing dinghy on davits

We currently use ratching straps across the mid aft and mid bow section of the dinghy with the strap hooks on the stern rail. It looks terrible but keeps the dinghy absolutely still. How do others secure their dinghy on their davits?

We installed two small cleats just below the level of the step built into the transom.

Then cross tie the dingy with 4 lines: so bow thwart of dingy (on port of 350 to accommodate OB) on each side of dingy tied to 350's starboard cleat. dingy stern on starboard tied to 350's port cleat. This arrangement controls side to side motion as well as fore/aft motion.

However, we NEVER go off shore with the dingy on davits-- it is securely located on the foredeck.
