Rebedding Product Question

I have some rebedding that I want to do, starting with lifeline stanchions. Process of potting the holes and prep seems pretty straightforward, albeit time consuming. My question is about the material to do the actual rebedding.

I have read some recommendations to use butyl tape but in my research has also turned up a product called Bed-It Tape. Looks like a pretty good product and wondering if anyone has used it and willing to share experience.

Thanks in advance for your time

Article I have been going through.

Bed it tape is butyl tape. It was just the brand Mainesail used to sell. It was supposed to be a high quality butyl tape that many sweared by. I've never had standard butyl tape fail me though, and yes butyl tape would be the product I would use on the stanchions.
