replacing Bilge Pump

Post by starfish »

Greetings forum,

On my 2005 #333, I am replacing my bilge pump and separate float switch with a bilge pump with a built in float switch. So I currently have 2 wires to the pump and 2 wires to the float switch. However, when I attach the wires to the pump I can''t get it to work, it works just fine if I change from Auto to Manual on the board, but nothing on Auto.

Can anyone help me with the proper wire setup? Directions are useless!! My new pump has 3 wires Black for Neg, brown and white for Auto set up and solid brown for manual. It is a Maxzone 1100 with float switch. Here is the link via Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B072JKFV9Z?re ... title&th=1

Thanks for any help offered.

Hey Ed, I changed my pump to one of these on my old Catalina 30 and if I remember correctly the black wire goes to the ground, the brown and white wire is for the auto mode so this should be connected to the black wire that fed the old float switch and the solid brown wire goes to the wire coming from the switch that turns on the bilge pump manually. I haven't looked at the wiring on my C350 so I don't know which wire it is but look for the black wire coming from the old switch that didn't go through the float switch, if that makes any sense. Hope this helps.
