I know. I forgot to take my genoa down before Milton. It would have made it too until the eyewall passed and that North wind hit. Anyway, sailing season is now here in Florida and I need some advice as to where I can get a new genoa (135) in a timely manner and how much?

Sorry for your loss. If all you lost was a jib sheet, you should consider yourself lucky. We lost our jib in Ian in 2022 (along with about $100K in other repairs). We had https://www.sailtechnologies.com/ make a new one. Cost was about $3300. You might also want to check out https://mastheadsailinggear.com/. They have a lot of sails already made that might work for less money, but may not be a perfect fit for your 350.

Not the jib sheet, the genoa. It hung in there pretty well till the end when it finally ripped up the leach. All my dock lines are pretty much toast even though they were doubled. How long did you have to wait to get your new sail?

Hi. I learned my lesson a long time ago as well. I took mine down, but others did not and they looked like flapping underwear on a close-line. Anyway, I still have my previous 135 that I replaced two years ago. It is still perfectly fine. In fact, I spent $450 on it having the sail loft reinforce some perimeter stitching ( I think at the clew and head) (no patches). However, it is taking up space in my little condo so I can let you have it for....... ($20,000)... no? how about $2,000? NO, boy you are a tough haggler! ok $200.

I keep thinking of keeping it for emergencies, but I still have my NEW 150 available!

Sorry, bad typo. Sail Technologies took about a month to make our new 135 genoa. Not a problem, since the hull repairs took about 7 months. Give them a call to see what their backlog is now.

I had a 135 made by National Sail Supply about 2 years ago. Took a few weeks and a great buy costing no more than $1800. They're made by Rolly Tasker.. Very nice and well built.
