DC Panel Amp Meter

Hi All,

On our below deck DC breaker panel, there is a DC amp meter that reads 0 to 100 amps.

I find it hard to read with only refrigeration and a few LED lights on.

Has anyone replaced that meter, with a direct swap, that has a tighter range like 0 to 25 amps?

I bought a 12 volt plug with a digital voltage readout and it also has 2 USB ports. It reads to a hundreth of an Amp, much more accurate. In reality it's probably not that accurate, but it's much better than the analog panel gauge. Amazon has them, of course.

Hi Ed,

Thanks for the reply.

I ended up buying a digital amp meter that mounts on the board above the DC panel.

You simply remove the two wires from the old analog meter and move the to the new digital meter.

Easier to read and more accurate.
