Mast sleeve to save the rolled main sail.

Greetings:
My rolled main sail was sunburned and chipping along the foot where it is exposed inside the mast. Not sure if anyone has done this, but it is easy to do. My wife sewed a “Mast Sleeve” out of sunbrella. Finished dimensions are 24” wide and 13” tall. There is a sleeve on the both long edges where I threaded a small cord through it. I loop the top cord around the halyard on the starboard side of the mast, then tie square knots on the top and bottom. By wrapping it around the halyard, it stays in position and does not slide down the mast. Wish this had been done years ago on my sail.....
