Cockpit audio - Speakers

Post by Daniel Brodsky »

NavPod used to make speaker enclosures for under the stern rail seats.

Do you have any suggestions for a replacement?

I was thinking of using wakeboard pods to replace them.

There is a previous thread where I suggested JL Audio speakers.

My speakers where shot when I got my 2008 hull 418 several years ago. The pods had water in them and the speakers where blown. I was able to find exact replacements so they fit the pods well. I drilled drain holes in each pod and added a screen over the holes to keep bugs out. My wife then covered the opening with a sunbrella fabric glued to the inside rim that keeps rain out but does not muffle sound. They work great and keep the look.
