Replacement Salon Light Switch

Post by KenKrawford »

I think the switch on the light pictured below is bad. Has anyone found a replacement switch? I'd rather do that than replace the fixture and have an odd one that doesn't match.

Ken,

Wonder if it would be good time to upgrade the the newer LED lights. They are a LOT better than the first generation LED's.

Power savings is substantial!

Brett, I replaced the old halogen bulbs with LED’s a couple of years ago. With nearly every one turned on the ammeter barely moves. BTW, the pic I attached was scavenged from the internet. Being on fresh water my fixtures look nearly new.

Ya, the pictured fixture looks like it lived in a very humid environment for a very long time.

Glad that isn't yours!

Ken,

Dang...I wish I had seen this earlier today when I was at the boat.

I plan to go back in a couple of weeks after my motor mounts are replaced and the prop shaft realigned.

If you can hold out until then, I'll bring you one back.

Let me know...

I haven't tried, but I imagine it is just a very small single pole switch you would get from Tandy??

Ken: I have had two switches go bad. I found a direct replacement with LED lite bulb and a more substantial switch. I think it was at Catalina direct. Steve
