Hello all,
Has anyone replaced their engine control lever on the pedestal?
Mine is extremely tight and the button that is pushed to increase idle is pretty much stuck all the time.
Is this a tough job?
Thanks

Re: Engine Control Lever
Ed I suspect your throttle/shift problem is related to either corrosion and/or a kink in the cables somewhere between the handle and the engine or transmission. Start with the engine and transmission connections first since they're the easiest to access. The black cover for the transmission lockout button should pop off and allow you to spray some lubricant around the inside it. The last step will involve opening the pedestal and check each of the connection points between the handle and cables.
