Injector Pump Failed

I had the craziest thing happen. My injector pump died (not the lift pump).

At first I thought there was a fuel issue. I replaced the Raycor filter and two inline fuel filters. Then the lift pump.
Still no fuel getting to the injectors.

I removed the air intake manifold and then removed the injector pump. Upon inspection I noticed the springs in two out of four pump pistons were shot. My engine has 900 hours on it. I was surprised that this component failed. There was evidence of water/rust on the pump.

I had Hansen Engineering in eastern Massachusetts do a rebuild. Much less expense than buying a new pump. Put it all back together and my Engine seems to be running just fine. I am in the process of replacing my exhaust riser, just in case water got into the oil and caused the rust on the injector pump. Not sure how moisture got in the block.

Anyone ever have to replace/rebuild their injector pump?

Update - Boat made it through the whole season with no issues. Rebuilt high pressure injector pump worked just fine. Also the exhaust manifold elbow was replaced and I cut the old one in half to examine the integrity of the mixing chambers. No problems there. Still I was happy to replace it.
