Two of my rope clutches will no longer remain in the open position. It appears that the handle / lever is supposed to be held in the fully open position by a small diameter polymer cylinder that slips into a detent in the side of the body plate.Over time, the polymer pin has become brittle and less compliant and no longer slips into the detent relief as designed.
Has anyone experienced this and if so were you able to remove the polymer cylinder / pin without removing the clutch from the cabin top? Were you able to repair yourself or did you send back to Garhauer for repair?
It is difficult to unfurl or furl the main while having to keep an eye on the clutch to ensure it remains open.

Copied from the Garhauer web site:
"All blocks, as every Garhauer part, come with our 10 year unconditional guarantee."
I'd send it back. They are terrific folks to work with.
