Just bought a Raymarine EV 200 electric linear drive auto helm. Called Catalina and they said this is the unit they put on new boats. It will be replacing the wheel drive unit I installed 9 years ago that finally died. Does anybody have any experience, suggestions in installing this kind of unit? Specifically, looking for guidance and photos on how to connect the actuator to the rudder quadrant. I'm told I need an Edson tiller extension, but not sure how it all fits in. Also, any suggestions on where to place the compass and the course computer? Would really love some photos.
