Re: Complete Electronics Replacement
I had a Garmin plotter on my Morgan 384 and now have Raymarine on my Catalina 350. Some functions that took two clicks on Garmin take three or four clicks on Raymarine but I am also comparing technology between products manufactured 10 years apart. To me the biggest issue is accountability if there ...

Re: Locker push button assemblys
Try http://www.catalinadirect.com and http://www.fpmarine.com (flounder pounder marine). fpmarine has a broader selection and lower prices in many cases while catalinadirect is focused on Catalina.

Re: Equalization cycle
Charles help desk says they do have an equalization function that is activated by turning off power to the charger, then turning power back on. According to the help desk this forces the charger to supply 14.1 - 14.5 vdc for about 4 hours then go to float mode. If more time is needed to bring sg up ...

Re: Equalization cycle
Thanks Bret. I was planning to monitor sg every hour until close to 1.265 then more frequently until each cell hits that number. Monitoring voltage would not be as messy. If I can ask some questions - 1. what ah rating are the batteries you are equalizing 2. what is the voltage reading when you see ...

Equalization cycle
My 2003 Charles charger doesn't have an equalization cycle. I'm thinking of purchasing a regulated and adjustable DC power supply to accomplish the task. My last boat had a charger with equalization cycle so I understand how it works and what to do in terms of setting the power supply outputs, monit...

Re: macerator for wilcox crittenden head
Thank you for your reply. I've looked at the rebuild kit and wonder how the unit operates. You mention a failed impeller and I only see one in the exploded parts listing. That makes me wonder how a failed impeller can prevent incoming seawater but still allow discharge of effluent once the bowl is p...

macerator for wilcox crittenden head
I recently purchased hull 078 which has (I think) the wilcox crittenden 1600 head. Name plate on the head says it's a Newport model and the literature posted in the 'technical articles' of the association web site seems to match in description. My question is - does anyone know if there is a drop in...
