Re: Lift Pump - Kubota Part Number?

It looks like prices have increased, I swear I paid about 30 bucks a piece. Austral Marine now has it listed for 120. There are a few other place that see in the internet below 100.

Good luck, let me know if you need anything else.

Re: Lift Pump - Kubota Part Number?

Bill, I can’t seem to get the photo to load. File too big. The lift pump i used is Kohler p/n 249862. My lift pump died 3 years ago and have been using this one since then with no problems. I bought a spare and keep it on board. Austral Marine International - local shop in Miami, had the cross-refer...

Re: Lift Pump - Kubota Part Number?

Bill, just seeing this now. I have the kubota lift pump. Actually I think kohler is the brand. I will get the on from my boat, but probably not until the weekend. A place called Austral Marine in Miami gave me the cross reference. You could call them at 305-633-0732. I recall it was obscenely less e...

Re: Galley Seacock

Thanks for the reply Ken. My seacock does not have the little plug that seems to accompany the newer versions of the same. I see some videos using that plug, but just don’t have it on, what I assume to be the original seacock that came with the boat in 2003. I am trying to reach Forespar tech suppor...

Re: Flush water swirls but wont leave the bowl

Hi, There are a lot of good responses here. I had a similar issue, but I frustratingly found that I simply had a bad joker valve and installed a bad new joker valve (twice). Well, I think I had a bad "new" joker valve once (Raritan), then tried a Jabsco that jus would not seat properly. Te...

Galley Seacock

Hi everyone, I have just noticed a leak in the handle of my galley sink seacock. I ordered the o-rings and gaskets from Catalina Direct as follows: Seacock Emergency Repair Kit 1-1/2" And 2" (#Z5108): 2 Item Total: $11.90 It should probably just be the o-rings, but thought I would replace ...

Re: AC runs, no error message, but takes a rest for a while, and then works again

Thanks for the input. Flow was not really bad, but used barnacle buster and the flow is really good now. A noticeable difference.. Unfortunately, it still has a little pause. It was too dark by time I finished to really see if there was a change in flow. I bet there is no change in flow. The AC is c...

AC runs, no error message, but takes a rest for a while, and then works again

Hi everyone, My AC works and cools, but runs for a while then stops (water pump still running), like it needs a rest, and kicks back on. No error messages. Some boat neighbors suggested that I should clean the lines with barnacle buster stating that maybe there is poor flow and the compressor is ove...

Re: M35B Engine Overhaul?

Bob, I am in the same boat (almost literally). I agree with Wolfe10, these diesel engines can and do live forever. Just do the maintenance and keep it from rusting away. Keep it clean, cooled, feed it clean diesel and keep it well lubricated, and of course drive her with respect she will keep tick, ...

Re: Fridge Compressor -Replacement

Hi, With respect to the thermostat, I found a replacement part number F1710JR680 at AMC Cliffvs Marine. Only place I could find. It was crazy expensive, but replaced thermostat, telephone jack type wiring and thermocouple wire. It was plug an play, except I had to rebuild the phone jack plug at the ...

Re: Panda Fisher 4200 - Valve clearance adjustment

Hi all, It’s been awhile since I have been on the forum. Update on my Panda Genset. Three month project. Knock on wood problem solved after some twists and turns. The valve clearance/lash kept tightening on the exhaust side. Had to adjust valve lash every 2nd or 3rd use. I even tried red Loctite. Pu...

Re: Catalina Factory Damaged By Tornado

Oh My! I had not heard and I am in South Florida. I just saw some videos and that is terrible- an EF 2 300 yards wide and lots of homes destroyed. I only have spoken the Gerry at Catalina in the past, but hope he is okay as well as others at Catalina and in the area. NormSail350 #41 Escape. Palmetto...

Patch in bilge

Hi all, I have a plastic patch in the botttom of the bilge. It is thin piece of plastic. It was sitting under a bilge bump. It is thin so not a backing plate to screw in the pump. I have not pulled it up. See picture attached. Is this something original? Anyone have this? I am trying to solve a leak...

Old Cable shift cable has following markings OLIRAFLEX USA CO FT13 182 I will have to go to the boat and see if the throttle cable has markings but later this week or weeke...

Re: Engine throttle and shift control cables

Bill,

Used 3300 TFXTreme cable. I do not have the size. I would guess that it was cut and fit to size. Total costs 53.34 for cable.

I wil ask the marina if they have the length. I was charged two hours of labor at $85/per hour.

Re: Engine throttle and shift control cables

HI all, Just an update. I replaced the shift cable and now it shifts like butter. Once the old cable was out, it was easy to see the cracks and wear. The wear was not so obvious while they were in place. I had a marina do it along with a long list of other items - including the exhaust riser. I also...
