Companionway hatch board lock

Post by Dave DeSalvo »

I just broke a key off in my companionway lock top board. Can anyone recommend a lock to replace it. My 2006, Hull number 383, came with 2 keys and after searching high and low for additional key blanks have been told they are not available. Now I an down to one key and a busted lock. Can anyone help. Thanks.

Dave,
I ordered blanks from Catalina in Fl.
Took them to Home Depot and they made copies.

I went to a lock smith and found a blank. An italian key with the initials CAS.

Hope that helps

Can you provide any info on the blank you found to fit? I have had no luck trying to match the original CAS Italian blank here in Wisconsin

You can purchase the keys from Catalina Yachts. They are $7.50 each.
