I like the aesthetic of underwater lights. Nearly everything I have seen available requires drilling through the hull (not happening unless its a necessity) so I am warming to the idea of wiring some underwater LED lights into the swim ladder this winter. Therefore when the ladder is down to access the dinghy etc I can leave the lights on to find my way "home" in a mooring field after refreshments at dinner etc.
Anyone done this?

If you do that, make SURE that the power is totally isolated if in salt water or you will set up massive galvanic corrosion.
