Barnacles kill speed

Took the boat out Saturday and noticed after only a few hundred yards was only getting 3kts. Engine running fine, shaft turning fine. At max throttle we were getting some black smoke, 1900 rpms and almost no thrust. Went back to marina and called a diver to come out on Monday.

Attachment shows barnacles growth on prop. Boat has been sitting in a Little Creek, Norfolk VA marina all winter but I've never had anything like this growth in five seasons. Just a reminder get the prop and hull cleaned before your first sail of the season.
