servicing the 44 power winch

I hate asking this, but just a quick question. I serviced the port winch (manual) with no problem. However, the little pin that sticks up in the starboard side (powered) prevents a flathead screwdriver from getting into the slot.

Should the pin rod re-tract down below the slot? The locking handle works fine, but maybe the rod needs to go down a bit further.

Oops. I think it was the 32 manual on the port side that I serviced. TOO many different types!!!!
Also, the manual says the electric one is a 40, but I think it is a 44. I am not at the boat so can't check until next weekend. Unless the 44's are the two rear ones??????
