Picture hanging

Post by Joel Indulgence »

I would like to hang pictures on the head bulkhead, what is the most secure way to do this with the least damage to the bulkhead. Thanks for your advice. Joel

I have quite a large picture mounted on four 1.5 by 3 inch velcro pads. It has survived two seasons and and a 200 mile road trip. I experimentally peeled a bit of one pad back about 1/4 inch to see if the glue on the pads damaged the varnish. I did not see any damage.

Velcro works best

We have hung several pictures and trays on the bulkheads of Wind * Rose with Velcro. Haven't had anything fall off yet including the time we came back from Catalina in gale force winds and high seas.

If you have one near you, the Container Store has a great selection of different widths. Good prices too, better than West Marine by far.
