Prop puller "loaner"

Post by sargentef »

I remember reading somewhere on this site or in "Mainsheet" that this association has a prop puller to loan. Is it still available?

Currently the Catalina 350 IA does not have a tool loan program set up although it was briefly discussed at the last bridge meeting. As far as I'm aware the Catalina 36 IA is the only association with a tool loan propram. I did contact them to get some feedback on the level of interest their members had. The person I spoke with indicated that it was seldom used and primarily for the cutlass bearing removal tool.

Hey Ken,
I need to install a new cutlass bearing. I am in the process of collecting tools/parts etc. My prop has been on the shaft for 13 years, the threads are very salted up. I have been soaking the nut with penetrating oil.

The puller is the next step.
