shurflo strainer "globe" crazing

Hi, the globe for the raw water strainer in my head is crazing ad appears to be cracking almost all the way through. Does anyone else have this problem. Any cost effective ways to replace the globe? Land and Sea wants as much for the globe as West Marine charges to replace the whole unit, plus $20.00 drop shipping charges. Patti #415

Patti... both my air cond and head have strainers have that look. Since i convinced myself that it is more cosmetic than structural... i am still using them. But in the back of my mind it still bothers me although i had not thought about it again until your post. By the way, what size is your shurflo strainer or order info, etc.? I was unable to confirm that with Catalina Parts. My hull # is 326.

Since i use the humidifier cycle when i am not on the boat a strainer failure would be a problem to say the least.

Hopefully someone may have a good answer to your question, i do not.
