draining water tanks

Post by nybor »

Hi. I re-installed the tank monitor for the three tanks, water, water, waste. You have to first empty them, then fill them up to calibrate the system. My question - is there an easy way to drain the water tanks without simply turning on the faucets and shower? I feel sorry for the poor little pressure pump.

thanks

Good morning I just went thru our first decommissioning for winter. I found you can effectively empty the water tanks by opening the manifolds in the bilge. I then used a shop vac to either blow or vacuum the lines out.

You don't have to drain the H20 tanks to calibrate if you have the Accugauge 8 monitors. You can calibrate them on empty or full.

I listed the instructions under the plumbing forum

Good Luck!
