Post by starfish »

Hello Forum,

From the attached photo, can anyone identify the zinc so that I can order another? Craft is a 2005 350

Ed,

Sorry no one has recognized your after-market prop and supplied you with a ZN PN.

Have you looked on the prop (may take some fine sand paper) to see if there are markings as to manufacturer of the prop?

It MAY, repeat MAY be a Flex-O-Fold prop: https://flexofold.com/folding-propeller ... propeller/

If so: https://flexofold.com/folding-propeller ... -zinc-112/

Thanks Brett

It is a Flex-O-Fold prop, but I wanted a short cut to order one as opposed to removing mine and going into west marine and asking, "do you have one of these"?

The previous owner had the prop painted same as the bottom, will see how it holds up in year 2. Prop has plenty of movement so I do not see much need to remove the paint.

Thanks for your help.

The Flex-O-Fold website lists the different anodes available; https://flexofold.com/folding-propellers/8-anodes/. #117 is the AluL, #112 is the zinc.

This seems to be what West Marine offers: https://www.westmarine.com/buy/martyr-- ... --14675482

Other online stores sell them cheaper.

The difference is that the 117 is for fresh water, the 112 for salt.

Be sure to get the correct one.
