No Data on Raymarine Wind instrument - TIP

Post by R.B. »

I hooked up all of my wires after I stepped my mast last weekend. I went to the helm to make sure everything was working and noticed that my wind gauge was flashing three dashes and then 0.0. I went back under the head sink and checked all of the wires. I used a multimeter and all was fine. I was worried that I would have to climb the mast to re-seat the wind sensor. I went back to the helm and decided to check the wiring of the electronic display first. Unscrewed the engine gauge cluster, to gain access to the inside of the pedestal. There are 2 plastic thumb screws holding the Raymarine display to the pedestal. I pulled the display out and made sure the data wires were all snug. Then I noticed a rubber plug with some more wires labeled "SEATALK" I re-seated that plug and everything was fine again. I then re-installed everything and it all works again.

Hope this helps.
