Alternator on M35B

Post by SeaBreeze »

My 2003 Catalina 350 has a stock Mando alternator. 51 amp. In looking at wiring diagram #200360 page 97 & 98 of the M35B service manual that came with the boat (Pub No 200554 1st edition Jan 2001) I see the wiring for the stock Motorola alternator showing wires from 4 terminals labled "AC", "output", "Exc", and "sen". Wires from these terminals are shown going to the various devices in the electrical system. The same diagram shows the Mando in an insert with 5 terminals labled "R", "L", "P", "S" amd "B". This insert does not show where the wires connected to these terminals go. Does anyone know the function of these 5 terminals and what they are connected to? I have not mentioned the ground terminal used on both alternators. I understand the wiring diagram with the Motorola alternator but I am puzzled about the Mando.
Best regards
