Re: YET ANOTHER BATTERY QUESTION

We had the exact same problem start up last week. Our original batteries are 4 years and 9 months. We are changing them out (very carefully) tomorrow with AGMs from West Marine.

Hull 467 need to change out batteries

Would appreciate suggestions on changing out our factory batteries after owning our boat for nearly 5 years. We have no experience in performing this type of exchange, but would like to do the job ourselves.

Re: Catalina cockpit table

28 1/4" x 39 1/2 table (each leaf extends and wraps around the pedestal). This adds 6 in to each leaf.

Stainless steel legs are 2 ft.

The braces that hold up the table leaf have broken twice. Has anyone used a different, more stable brace?

Will follow up with pictures.

Re: Oil Leak at oil pressure sensor

We really like our Kato davits with a stabilizer bar. The support bars are great handholds for getting in and out of the dinghy and the swim ladder.

Windseeker, lubricated it with what? We have always suspected the checkvalve was the culprit of our wet bilge.....

Which Schaefer Furler for 2008 models?

Does anyone know if the 2008 models (our hull is #467) have the new Schaefer Furlers with the lubrication access fitting or one of the older systems? If it's an older system, does anyone know if there is a warranty upgrade? We must now use our winch to furl the jib it has gotten so difficult to furl...

Re: Shower Sump Pump

Dumb question of the day....how do you replace the floater switch and/or pump in shower drain box? Each have an electrical wire that goes somewhere unknown and ties in somewhere unknown? It doesn't appear that it's "plug and "play" from the top side wire connection. Please tell me it'...

Re: Raritan sea era head -small leak

o ring part # 161107 is what must be correct or you will continue to have a small leak. I ordered a replacement kit directly from Raritan that included 161107, 161123, 161120, 161115, (can't remember what else came with it) and 2 spare joker valves c254. What happend is that the blade 161123 got ben...

Re: Has anyone changed the filter screen on the fresh water

Ed, is this what you are asking about? It is the fresh water filter inline under the fresh water pump. It is all located under the galley sink. Hopefully, the photo will help you find the part number. We have a Shur Flo, Aqua King, Product #: 3901-0206 or 3901-0216

Re: Bilge Pump System

We are undertaking the correction of our ongoing bilge pump problem this weekend. Luckily, we have solved all of the leaks into the bilge over the last 3 years, so currently the only water in the bilge is from the weekly cleaning of the raw water filter for the AC and then flushing the bilge with fr...

Re: Shade Maker

On a similar note, we were in Annapolis last week during the heat wave while cruising with my dad who owns a C400. Two members of the cruising club had made shade covers that draped over the topside of the boat. One cover draped over the boom from the mast to halfway over the bimini and the width of...

Re: Fix for leaking salon sidelights

Straight from Warren Pandy.... Instructions for installation/replacing fixed salon Plexiglas sidelights. Our port side fixed salon sidelight starting leaking. We did not remove and rebed our sidelight, but we did remove all of the old sealtant and then ran a bead of the Dow Corning 795 (BLACK). Hope...

Re: Man Overboard Pole

We mounted the "sleeve" for ours on the starboard backstay and the yellow MOB pole went up from the sleeve through the bimini opening at the stay (you know....the place where water always leaks onto the helmsman.) The idea was to push it up out of the "sleeve" it rests in and dir...

Re: Salon Table into Double Berth

There is a large folding cushion the exact size of the table and somewhat thicker than the settee cushion. It is light, but bulky to store on the boat (if we have to take it, we usually stow it on the ledge above the headboard in the aft cabin). We have two grandchildren and they slept on the salon ...

Re: sail Jamming in mast due to burs

We have a Mark II which has a Selden Mast rather than Charleston Spar and were told by Selden Masts to have the boom at an angle of 85 degrees when furling. We use the boomvang to adjust to this angle before furling and it has worked well for us.

I also found our own post from several years ago when we were going to do the installation and had contacted Garhauer for the model #. ...

We plan to install the Garhauer adjustable cars in April and would like advice and photos of installations on other 350's. Also any information on part numbers and configuration would be most appreciated.
