Re: Generator Installation
Hi - we had a netgen 3.5 installed and really like it. the sound shield does fit down there and we added a sound proofing material wrap on the outside of the shield as well - greatly lowered the noise level. IMPORTANT - get the 110V blower rather than the 12V blower and have the gen automatically po...

Re: Wheel or below deck autopilot?
Hi! When we ordered our 350 in 2002 we did not get the autopilot. I figured that I would get a wheel pilot and save some bucks... what a project... the problem is that the pedestal does not have clearance for the unit. SO I had to special order from Edison a longer shaft wheel piece. Then we were st...

Re: Replacing the hot water heater
Hello All... Our 2003 #107 water heater is leaking from the bottom - all hose connections are tight and dry. Based on previous posts I knew that the 11 gallon Seaward needed to be taken apart in order to replace. Thanks for the heads up! Ordered one thru West Marine - looked EXACTLY the same BUT is ...

Re: Transmission clicking
Hi - I know that this sounds silly - but - shrimp make a clicking noise on the hull - we have heard this clicking often while in Florida and north to the lower Chesapeake - we also have had turtles feeding on some "fuzz" on the hull they make a louder click... Best, Pete Bruzik - Pekabu 3 ...

Re: catalina 350 shower
Hi All, First thanks for the speedy replies! I need to fix / replace the mixing faucet body for head shower - not the hose or wand. When the faucet mixer handle is in an "on" position it leaks from under the mixer handle. I hoped to remove the mixer handle to see if I could "tighten&q...

Re: Intermittent Overheat at start up...
Hi Bill,
re exhaust elbow - wouldn't there be exhaust and or water evident inside the boat? if no exhaust or water evident inside the boat the exhaust elbow should be OK? What would you be looking for as far as symptoms for bad exhaust elbow?
Thanks - Keep the ideas coming - appreciate it!

Hi Ralph,
Interesting comment re shaft - makes sense - I will get a new pump and have it ready to replace as soon as the tarp is off!
Will post a follow-up and let all know if that solves the issue
Thanks to all!

Hi All I added a second unit - So much more efficient!! We have had our boat since new – the original insulation was terrible - not enough was blown in originally - we were visited for a retro insulation install by Catalina in ’04. Re: Head sink drain
I keep a small plunger on the shower shelf - I can plunge it and then it drains freely and 15 minutes it is slow again... I do not think it is anything to do with the plumbing - happens very often. I have never "sucked" anything back into the sink... I gave up thinking about it and we just...

Re: Nextgen 3.5KW
Hello All, I have a NexGen 3.5 installed in the port rear sugar spoon area of the stern. We have had it for three years and it works very well. If you are considering purchasing it make sure you have the AC blower installed rather than the standard DC blower. More expensive BUT the noise of the NexG...
