Re: Cabin Top Electric Winch

Congrats on your decision - I got an eWincher and LOVE it!!!! So much easier, less expensive and versatile than an electric winch. The eWincher can be used on any and ever winch, has variable speeds, or can be used as a normal winch without power. I use it all the time and it makes hauling up the sa...

Re: Hunting VC-17 Facts or Fiction Bottom Paint

Tom & Pam - thanks for the reply! Please keep us updated annually as to how the Petit replacement fares. Questions: Did I understand correctly that the C350 hull required One gallon of Petit? Did you just paint over the VC17 or strip it all down, including barrier coat, put on a new BC and then ...

Re: Drilling into/mounting to pedestal

I dont have a photo, but I bought a regular plastic winch holder from a marine supply (generic photo I attempted to attach), took a razor knife and cut a slit on each side close to the back, large enough to slip a large hose clamp thru and camped it to/around the front table leg. I have two of them,...

Hunting VC-17 Facts or Fiction Bottom Paint

Ahoy! Tranquil's bottom came with VC-17 (and I hope the previous owner put a barrier coat down first). A local marine supply store told me that the makers of Interlux VC-17, Akzo Nobel (AN), exited the paint business and there are little to no old stock left. West Marine told me that AN re-formulate...

Leak in Head between Shower and Toilet

After removing old caulk and re-caulking the shower, bench, all along the floor seams, including around teak touching the floor and under the door ledge, the small space outside the shower and shower door in between the toilet still leaks a bit. It is not from underneath the shower doors, rather the...

Re: Cockpit Table Top Lid Repair -Lid Material?

Thanks. I am guessing its pretty. I am one who really appreciates that the C350's have almost no teak :) I decided to purchase Loctite Epoxy Five Minute Instant Mix 0.47-Fluid Ounce Syringe, HC1060027 (1365868) and will see how it goes. Teri

Cockpit Table Top Lid Repair -Lid Material?

The grayish-black plastic flip up lid on the top of the cockpit table broke into 2 peices vertically from the finger hole to open the lid down to the bottom. The broken piece is smaller and vertically shaped. Anyone know what the lid is made of/type of Plexiglass it is for related repair adhesive? S...

Thanks I've not heard of this before. The issue is they sit on the TV antenna saucer and destroy everything below.....If mounted on the TV antenna would it interfere with the other instruments up top? Teri

Interior STBD handrail where folded shades are stored leaking

Greetings We keep the table up on the starboard side, between the two “chairs”. After a night of storms awoke to find the aft half of the table a puddle of water in the corner against the wall and the aft “chair” cushions soaked - even dripped down to the floor along the forward edge of the aft “cha...

Re: Water pump under sink won’t pressurize

Yes despite replacing the faucet head last year, it was completely full of gunk and you are correct that was the issue! I was very surprised as I sail Lake Michigan from June to the end of September and the previous Fossett head lasted eight years before I had to clean it out

Thanks again

Re: Water pump under sink won’t pressurize

Thanks to all for replies. After 5 hours I was able to get water to the head sink and shower, but not in the galley. Didn't try the cockpit It was late so I had to leave. I did clean the filter, which had just a few grains of debris. I did run with the faucets open but still nothing from the kitchen...

Water pump under sink won’t pressurize

Just launched, filled my water tanks and flipped on the water pressure switch. In the past the pump pressurizes after a minute or two and then turns off, at which time I open all the through holes and run water through each sink and the showers. Before filling the tanks, I went into the transom and ...

Re: Cockpit Cushions

Greetings In 2008 I bought a set of 5 cockpit cushions from Island Nautical, 3000 Gandy Blvd, St Petersburg, 727 577 3220. I had the cushions cut to match the lazarettes so that I could lift just one section when accessing any given hatch, including the window on the port side, rather than having to...

Re: How load test 6V Golf Cart Batteries When Out Of Boat

Scott and Brett - thank you for your replies and information! I've been to Sam's where I purchased the 4 ECG2's 6 months ago. The mechanics are very young, dont know how to test without CCA data, input their own best guesses and the result is the battery is "good". All 5 batteries were hoo...
