Re: Standing Rigging Replacement
I appreciate all of your responses. I am going to discount the boat a little for the buyer even though the rigging looks good to me. If the boat does not sell I will probably not replace the standing rigging at this time since I am mostly a fair weather sailor.

Standing Rigging Replacement
Forr Fun is a 2003 350 with Hull Number 007. I looked at the standing rigging and it looks fine. The broker that I am listing it with thinks I should replace the standing rigging and that will make it more attractive to buyers. He says standing rigging should be replaced every 10 years. For a broker...

Re: Heat exchanger zinc
We own a 2003 hull number “007”. I had some green corrosion growing on the inlet and outlet of my heat exchanger. Also, engine was running at about 178 degrees. I checked and the zinc had broken off inside. I think that the advice to trim some of the zinc off is well taken. In the future I am going ...

Re: YouTube Channel for Projects?
Are you open to posting you tube videos from other boats that have same parts. For example, there is a good video that shows how to replace just the crazed lens on a lewmar hatch. I think I might have found the link on one of the postings here.

Re: Front Engine Mounts economical source for Universal M35B
Brett and Ken,
Thank you. I am looking at the Vetus mounts to see if they match. I believe they do. I cannot see anything wrong with the current mounts, but I don't have X-ray vision. I get a little vibration at idle speed RPMs. As I boost RPMs to above 1000 it smooths out.
FYI Only
And Thanks

Has anyone had to replace their front engine mounts (isolator). The local Westerbeke dealer says they don't make them anymore.

Re: Not running due to fuel
Thanks for all your help. The hopefully final outcome. I had a bad wire leading to the fuel lift pump. The wire looked fine, but somehow it must have been broken under the insulation. Someone had spliced in a red wire for some reason. After cutting out That wire and putting on a new connector I got ...

Re: Not running due to fuel
I had a similar problem with the break in the wire under the electrical tape last summer when motoring into Pelican Bay. The motor stopped until I reconnected the wires. I am slowly going around an fixing the twisted and taped connections. I am also trying to get the wiring size and color back to th...

Re: Not running due to fuel
Thanks for all your replies and messages. Had the Admiral turn the key while I listened and I heard nothing. So, I am going to try NAPA for a pump and if they don't have one I am going to order one online from Aircraft Supply. I am also going to try to figure out how to electrify the fuel lift pump ...

Re: Not running due to fuel
My fuel lift pump does not click. My tank was just about empty this week and the engine would not start. I added diesel to the tank and the engine started. Since I can't hear the pump clicking, should I replace the pump now? Even if the engine will now start. On page 44 of the parts manual it says 2...

Re: Replacing Cabin Ceiling Light Fixture
Thank you all for the comments and suggestions. I know this is a rehash of what others have said. I was able to pop the bezel off with the fixture in place and place LEDs in. I shined a strong light on the black moving part of the fixture and I could see a slight crease and I put a fingernail in and...

Re: AC water pump not priming
The A/C started pumping water again when I hit an unmarked reset button on top of a switch box mounted to the bulkhead next to the A/C unit. Also, An A/C mechanic told me that if I just take the hose off the A/C side of the pump that it should start pumping. Since I found a popped reset button I did...

Re: Coolant Level Question
Hi, I searched and searched for the leak on the heat exchanger. The leak was in a place that was impossible to see. It was where the bracket meets the engine and on the bottom side of that spot. Impossible to see. I took the exchanger off and had it welded. Then it started leaking on the other side....
