Re: Drilling into/mouting to pedestal
Specifically regarding add on's to the pedestal, I have attached a SNAPIT Binnacle Drink/Binocular holder that was specifically designed for the C350 Pedestal...we love it This link shows a similar version for a Generic Pedestal holder: http://snapitproducts.com/snapit-marine/products/v0023/v0023-bi...

Re: Drilling into/mouting to pedestal
I mounted this winch handle holder on the front of the pedestal near the bottom for a winch handle that can be reached from either side of the cockpit: https://www.defender.com/product.jsp?id=4189126 four pilot holes, for four small stainless steel screws that hold plastic hooks to fasten on and qui...

Thanks,
I left the o-ring, and added a paper gasket and had no leaks.

Re: Oberdorfer N202M-908 Raw Water Pump Installation
So this past weekend I intended to change the impeller on the Oberdorfer pump for the first time... I realized that through this entire chain of "how easy" this was from the front, that not a single person indicated that the job requires Snap Ring Pliers for an internal snap ring. Not real...

Re: Shutdown/Fuel chop lever
I haven't looked at it yet, so don't know if its the cable (probably) or the shutoff on the engine.

Shutdown/Fuel chop lever
Went sailing last weekend. Shut the engine down three times. First two times as normal, third time the lever was very stiff to pull out. After shut down and pushing it back in I couldn't pull it out at all. It was late in the day, so just buttoned up and went home. Anyone have thoughts on what I may...

Re: Spillover fan wiring
I assume by now you've figured it out, but the fan can be replaced with any fan for a computer tower that matches the amp draw (easy to find on amazon). It's a DC fan, so just attach the pos and neg leads, and if the fan blows the correct direction your good to go...if not reverse the leads...simple...

Re: ENGINE OIL PRESSURE SHUTDOWN SWTICH
When mine broke a number of years ago I was away from home port. I called a mechanic who brought the replacement, and swapped them out using an oversize socket wrench. Upon return to home port I bought a spare switch and the correct size socket for my tool kit... haven't had a repeat yet in 10 years...

Regarding the original Sherwood pumps...
Is there somewhere that will rebuild them economically?
I don't have the tools or wherewithal to do it myself.
Otherwise I'll just get another oberdorfer as back up

Re: damaged mast wind indicator
Mine was stuck, and I had a rigger up the mast for a separate issue. He brought the ST60 wind-vane down, took it apart, cleaned it and lubed it...it wasn't a bearing problem, it was a grit build up problem (after 13 years). Sorry I don't know what the lube grease was that he used. 5 minutes at most,...

Re: Oberdorfer N202M-908 Raw Water Pump Installation
By the way, after actually using the pump for a couple of months....despite the oberdorfor having a significantly smaller impeller than the sherwood, I haven't noticed any difference in engine temp, nor in the sense of water flow out of the exhaust

Re: 6V Golf Cart Battery Upgrade
Sorry, don't have any pictures immediately handy, but I added (in addition to 4 6V batteries replacing the 2 12V 4d's) 2 6V batteries under the Port Setee as well as a 12V starting battery. Yes I built a shelf out of Starboard, then strapped battery boxes onto the shelf.

Re: Where do I point knob - Adler Barbour
If the wire is connected to the cold box I guess that's fine, it's clearly connected differently than mine is which is connected under the white metal plate visible at the top of the cool box in your picture. The direction of the knob pointing is really not standard...it's just a rheostat...one way ...

I bought this pump at AMAZON for $333.50 in Jun.
No install kit required, only a gasket....the same Westerbeke gasket you would use for the Sherwood pump.

Re: Where do I point knob - Adler Barbour
Verify that the coil of "wire" shown in your picture is attached to that plate screwed to the top of the chill box. That "wire" is the thermometer, that provides feedback to the control unit on how long the refer should run. If yours is connected, it certainly isn't connected the...

Re: Mark I Refrigeration Insulation Upgrade
About 10 years ago we reversed the fan flow on our Adler Barbour cold machine unit and added a tee into the ducting for the bilge/engine heat exhaust duct to vent the warm air...at the time there was a kit for this from A.B....unfortunately I'm getting to old to remember details like part numbers. p...
