This schedule compiles all of the maintenance requirements for the Catalina 350 in one place. The official referenced manuals specify maintenance intervals based on engine hours, months, seasonal, "as-needed" and other subjective wording that can depend on your boating environment and other factors. This schedule groups the requirements into the intervals and systems described below. Please email any corrections, additions or comments to the author, Mike Heller, former owner of C350 #143.
Daily - Includes items that are generally done before or after you take the boat out.
Periodic - Includes requirements that specify "monthly", "periodically", "frequently", "often", "as-needed", etc. that can depend on environmental factors and how the boat is used.
Seasonal - Includes items that should be checked or changed about every year.
Other - Includes items that are done less frequently than yearly, or more than every 250 engine hours.
Engine - Universal M-35B Diesel, fuel system, Racor fuel/water separator, exhaust system, shaft seal.
Rigging - Standing and running rigging, deck, hardware, fittings, Schaefer jib furler, Harken winches, Edson steering, Maxwell Windlass, canvas and clear vinyl.
Electrical - AC & DC systems, batteries, electronics, zincs.
Plumbing - Fresh water system, Seaward water heater, SHURflo water pump, W/C head, bilge pump, Forespar seacocks.
HVAC - Westerbeke/Rotary Aire Climate Control System.
Refrigeration - WAECO Adler/Barbour ColdMachine.
Propane - Tank, regulator, valves.
Safety - PFDs, fire extinguishers, flares.
